The South Florida HDI Chapter for IT Service and Technical Support Community was recognized with Platinum Circle of Excellence Award in 2010, ranked #4 out of 60 and one of 11 chapters to earn this recognition.  This recognition is based on chapters meeting certain benchmarks used to measure member growth, management of chapter policies and procedures, education, career development, meetings, special events and contributions to the IT community. 

Since our inception in October of 2008 we have been recognized for our accomplishments and have been labeled the “Flagship Chapter” of HDI.  As we continue to grow we anticipate many improvements for our chapter and can’t do this without the help of new individuals.

Get involved and improve your local chapter

Many of you have asked how you can become more involved as we continue to improve our chapter.  Our goal continues to expand in scope with high-quality educational and networking opportunities available to HDI members. One of the ways you can become involved is by participating as a volunteer member of our Board of Directors.  This year we will be holding elections for the following positions as current board members roll off their term commitment. South Florida HDI Chapter seeks skilled, experienced and knowledgeable leaders who are committed and want to work as part of a team.

• President-Elect — Three year commitment to the following roles:

1. As President-Elect 2012 - managing his/her portfolio to support the President’s strategy for the chapter
2. As President 2013 – to set and carry out the Chapter’s strategic direction.
3. As Past President 2014 – to act as mentor to the President-Elect and President.

• VP of Membership – Leads Membership Strategy- Two year commitment 1/12 thru 12/13.

• VP of Programs – Leads Program Strategy – Two year commitment 1/12 thru 12/13.

• VP of Content Relations – Leads Social Media, Web Content - Two year commitment 1/12 thru 12/13.
  
  
• VP of Special Events – Leads AOY, Vendor Fair, Networking Events and Training - Two year commitment 1/12 thru 12/13.
  
  
• Director of Online Events – Leads Online Webinar Events and Content - Two year commitment 1/12 thru 12/13.
