Hear some of the best practices and lessons learned during the creation of the workstation strategy, development and planning, and implementation of TECO Energy’s desktop infrastructure upgrade.

CA will be discussing Service Management strategies that enable organizations to implement repeatable, measurable processes for defining, transitioning, delivering, and supporting services and assets throughout their lifecycles. By integrating and automating ITIL processes, organizations can utilize resources and control changes more efficiently, while streamlining the workload for the IT staff.

Mark Dorsett is an Enterprise Analyst with TECO Energy, Inc. With over 27 years of IT experience, Mark has gained significant insight into the best practices of configuring, deploying and supporting the desktop environment. He was the project lead for TECO Energy’s Windows 7 deployment and drew on his experience to overcome the many challenges encountered during the complete replacement and upgrade of the desktop infrastructure.

Mr. Locke has more than 20 years of experience in IT Service Management. He has been instrumental in the development and delivery of ITIL solutions for large Clients in the Defense, Services, Manufacturing, Financial industries and within the Federal Government. He has performed these Service Management consulting services in North and Latin America and across Europe.
Mr. Locke is an ITIL v3 Expert and has also co-authored an ITIL Strategy book for international publication by Van Haren Publishing called “Service Management Process Maps.” Mr. Locke has also published several white papers as well as articles in several IT magazines.
He is also currently a member of the Help Desk Institute (HDI) and the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) and is a Certified Help Desk Director by HDI/STI Knowledge.
